This sold-out event featured entertainment by the Summitview Public School Drum Band (led by Ron Cross), a silent auction, a live auction (including a 40" flat screen television, Raptors tickets, and Leafs tickets), a video of friends in Igoma, and interviews with a couple SIP members that have travelled to Igoma. Sandy Schell-Kennedy was a brilliant master of ceremonies. SIP received great support from businesses and corporate sponsors in the community.
The event raised approximately $40,000, including $8,000 specifically for the purchase of mosquito nets.
