SIP has partnered with Health Partners International to supply much needed medication for the Urafiki Health Centre in Igoma. SIP mays HPI an administration fee of $1,100 and receives approximately $11,000 worth of the latest medications appropriate for Africa.
Medications and smaller pieces of equipment are delivered in person by SIP members during their travels to Igoma. Each team member travelling to Africa is permitted two pieces of luggage by the airline. SIP requires that one of the luggage items is a box of medical supplies. Travel is paid for by SIP volunteer members and not by SIP, keeping administration costs to a minimum.
