The Stouffville Igoma Partnership will be having a work trip meeting on Thursday, April 6th in the Town Office at 7pm. This meeting is open for anyone interested in traveling to our partnered community of Igoma in Tanzania in mid August. The duration of the trip will span approximately 12-14 days including travel time. We do have interest from Mayor Altmann and his wife Jenny to join the team and we are hoping others will join us with whatever skills they can offer. In this meeting we will discuss approximate travel time, accommodations, what to pack, immunizations and the work which we hope to accomplish while in Igoma. Anyone interested in attending this meeting can RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 647-444-3513 though notice of your attendance is not mandatory.
Our Annual General Meeting takes place in Council Chambers at the Town Office (111 Sandiford Drive) on Thursday, April 27th at 7pm. We will discuss what has been accomplished this past year, our projections for the upcoming year, elect directors and answer any questions people may have. The Stouffville Igoma Partnership (SIP) is seeking to fill two vacancies on its Board of Directors. The positions are for two-year terms beginning April 2017 and are not remunerated. SIP is a registered charitable organization that has supported medical and educational programs in the village of Igoma, Tanzania since 2005.
Candidates should submit their CV along with a 200 word summary of the skills and experience they would offer to the Board. Send information in electronic form to email@example.com by Friday, April 14th.
All are welcome and encouraged to come hear what Stouffville is accomplishing in Igoma and to share their hearts and visions for this unique partnership.

12th Annual Banquet and Auction
Well all is said and done after another wonderfully successful evening at Sleepy Hollow Country Club but the evening was one to remember according to many beaming attendees. The night was seasoned with Tanzanian dishes, lovely music by Derek Christi and Laurelle Augustyn and an inspiring speech to say the least by MP of Markham Stouffville’s Jane Philpott. The event raised approximately $23,000 which will greatly aid the continuation and hopefully expansion of our health care and education programs in Igoma. Our members want to extend our deepest gratitude to the participants above as well as to our Emcee Clyde Smith, Shooting Stars, the Silent Auction Company, Edith Lewis, our volunteers and all who donated to our silent auction and basket raffle! We also want to give thanks and recognize our 2016 Corporate Partners who are as follows;
