On October 19th, 2012, SIP will be hosting its Annual Dinner and Auction at Eastridge Church (12485 Tenth Line, Stouffville) for the 8th consecutive year. This night will be one to remember with great food, a vast array of items to bid on, good fellowship and quality entertainment including the Georgina Drum Circle from Shaw Percussion and dancers Daniella Warner and Marianna Mangevil-Markel. Our Guest speaker is Stouffville’s own Olympian, Karen Cockburn to talk about her experience in London as well as the importance of community.
This event is our largest annual fundraiser and due to its success, it is our primary source of income that allows us to keep the medical clinic running 24 hours a day, distribute mosquito nets yearly, sponsor over 70 children in the Peter Neufeld Education Program as well as 10 students in the vocational training school. In addition, this year we are targeting clean water for the residents of Igoma. We have been working alongside Emmanuel International and our research and findings conclude that this is an attainable goal for SIP in the upcoming year if enough money is raised. We hope to see many of you who have attended previous years as well as some new faces!
Silent Auction opens at 5:30pm, punch is served at 6:00pm and dinner at 6:30pm.
Tickets are $60 per person or $480 for a table of eight and are available at Candlelight and Memories on Stouffville Main Street or from Aaron K. Purveyors – Mennonite Meats and Deli on Stouffville Main Street. Alternatively tickets can be ordered through calling the SIP phone at (416) 346-5133.
