Recent expansion of the Urafiki Health Centre has allowed SIP to open a much needed Mother Child Infant Care unit as well as basic hygiene and health care education. Public health nurses are being hired for the new services.
Less than 8% of children attend high school due to lack of funds. This SIP project provides tuition aid to qualified students. At its onset in 2008, the goal was to send 5 students but due to incredible support 20 students have entered the program in the first year.
